Posted: August 12, 2012 in General

Information reaching me indicates that the gunmen and Islamic terrorist group may have struck again in the northeastern Nigerian State of Yobe.

The attacks were reported the morning.

Available information indicates that sporadic shooting and loud explosions were heard in the capital city of Damaturu along the metropolitan area of Gashu’a road. Further details are not available.

The capital of Yobe, Damaturu – since the start of the terrorist activities by the Islamic Terror Group, the Boko Haram – has served an open un-abated attack grounds. Repeated attacks have been recorded in the State – of which many of the security operative stationed at the State were affected. Just last Sunday, six security agents attached to the joint task force was killed.

No casualty information as at that time of filing in this report.

More details soon.
